Did you know that only 7% of all investor money goes to women-led startups?
Women Who Tech is out to change that and Actionplanr is getting involved too. That’s why I am thrilled to announce that as the Co-founder of Actionplanr, I have been selected to participate in the first annual Women Startup Challenge, a crowdfunding competition in partnership with Craig Newmark, of Craigslist and CraigConnects.
I had the opportunity to meet Craig and so many innovative and smart women at the Women’s Startup Challenge launch party in San Francisco last week. I felt honored and proud to network and mingle as a Challenger (as of this writing, we are leading the Challenge in 1st place out of 112 participants) at the event. As we all celebrated this bright and promising movement, I realized we were a playing a very small role in making history towards the economic advancement of women.
Meeting so many World Shakers and Visionaries at the Kick-Off party was truly inspiring.
Women Who Tech
As a woman-owned company and female co-founder of Actionplanr, I am excited to participate in this worthy cause. The Women Startup Challenge is a call to action. Here’s what Women Who Tech have to say about it:
“We want way more badass women running amazing and successful startups. So Women Who Tech is launching a crowdfunding competition, to showcase and raise money for innovative women-led ventures that are committed to solving problems for people, businesses, and the planet. Did you know that women-led startups have 35% more return on the investment than tech companies founded by men? The lack of funding for women-led startups is unacceptable, and we we want to do our part to change it.”
My team and I have been working hard over the last year to bring Actionplanr Web Mobile to you in 2015. We are very close to launching, but we need your support.
That’s why I am inviting you to join us today on Giving Tuesday in our crowdfunding efforts for Actionplanr. Your support could mean that we win 50K, which will help finish the development of Actionplanr and bring it to market sooner.
The startups that raise the most during the Challenge will move to the next round of the Challenge, and will get the chance to pitch their startups in person Shark Tank style in Washington D.C. in front of a panel of investors.
I am ready to raise as much money as I can for my startup so that I can win the $50,0000 grand prize donation. I think I can win and to do so, I really need your help to make it happen.
As of this writing, we are currently in the lead, but on Giving Tuesday, May 5th starting at 11 am Pacific Standard Time we need to move the needle forward by raising more money.
Will you help us?
Your support would mean a lot to me. Please contribute what you can. Every dollar matters. No donation is too small.
Plus, be sure to check out the cool packages I have put together for our donors. If you love the fresh mountain air, you are going to love my incentive program for your contribution.
